A new therapy group for men and women will be forming in the Fall that will specifically focus on interpersonal and social skill growth and development. Call me for further information and to get on a waiting list.
WOMEN'S THERAPY GROUP
I currently facilitate a women's therapy group that meets weekly to deal with the effects on daily life of childhood trauma, specifically
from some form of childhood sexual abuse. The focus of the group is to learn to express feelings and
thoughts in the safety of a group setting with other women who have experienced similar events in their
lives. We work on concerns of the women as they surface within the group, and try to keep the focus on the present
experience each woman is having in the here-and-now. It is helpful for each woman to be in
individual therapy while attending this group, as the group can bring up difficult material that you may
want to process in individual sessions.

RECOVERY SUPPORT GROUP
This group is especially for the person recovering from a chemical dependency addiction who has
enough time in sobriety to be focusing on issues other than using. The group works on
relationships, work stressors, finances, self-worth issues, and all the other areas
that affect a recovering individual once the alcohol or drug has been removed and
is no longer a problem. Ordinarily, group members attend a 12-step recovery program
as well as this group. This group meets every other week for 1 1/2 hours.
Both of these groups are closed groups, which means that once they are filled no one
else is allowed into the group. If a group is full, your name can be put on a waiting
list for an existing group or for the formation of a new group. Call or
e-mail
for information on the current status of these groups.
